Vulcanized 190
Properties This composite offers the forming and mechanical properties of vulcanized fibre with the excellent electrical properties of polyester film. The composite is obtained in rolls and can be converted into other forms. Polyester film can be applied to one or both sides. It can also be placed between 2 plys of vulcanized fibre. The union of vulcanized fibre with polyester film results in higher dielectric strength, tear strength, and bursting strength when compared to standard vulcanized fibre. Polyester film will also act as a moisture barrier in applications where standard vulcanized fibre is too sensitive to moisture. |
Applications Recommended for use as slot insulation where vulcanized fibre is shaped to fit the slot and acts as a backer for poly-ester film. In this application, vulcanized fibre adds the required stiffness or rigidity to allow the wedge to be properly inserted. Thickness Range Form |
